Investigations Training offered in SA

Last month WISE Principal Harriet Stacey and specialist Senior Investigator Kylie Starling conducted a three day training program for the SA Department of Education and Children's Services in Adelaide. 

The three day program covered all aspects of the investigation process including delivery of PEACE, Cognitive Interviewing and tips on interviewing respondents. For more information on tailored training programs visit learning a development on our web site.

Failure of agencies to provide ongoing sex-based harassment training

The Federal Government's Equal Opportunity for Women in the Workplace Agency (EOWA) has just released it's 2009 survey results. The report identifies continued gaps in gender pay and that nearly half of all reporting organisations still fail to provide on going training in sex based harassment to staff and managers. Harriet commences maternity leave mid September and we wish her all the best.  With three children under 4yrs she's going to need it!  To give her a break there will be no October issue of e-wise but she will be back with our next edition in November and will no doubt be keeping her eye on things in between feeds.
