Celebrating our 10th Year in business

We would like to say 'Thank you'

WISE Workplace Investigations has seen steady growth since Jo and Harriet started out 10 years ago. 2010 was our busiest year yet with 2011 set to be another interesting year.  W
e hope that WISE will be a resource and thought leader throughout the next decade for HR professionals and all those engaged in improving and transforming our workplaces into happy, ethical places to be. Increased flexibility and technological advances will see monumental shifts in the way we do work but one thing wont change - that is the need to communicate with people.

We would like to thank all our f
ormer investigators, business associates, clients and role models who have helped us become the company that we are today.

Short Courses in Workplace Investigations

WISE Workplace Investigations will work in partnership with the Australian Human Resources Institute (AHRI) to assist HR managers in conducting professional investigations into workplace misconduct.

WISE will hold a series of one-day workshops in all states and territories next year on the practical skills that enable you to assess complaints, gather corroboration and make critical decisions that affect employees.

The AHRI calendar for 2011 has now been released. Early bird consessions available until 28 February 2011

In November 2010 we launched our new improved web site

Jo Kamira presents

On Friday February 4, Jo Kamira will be giving the lunchtime talk for Waitangi Day at the Rocks Museum hosted by the Sydney Harbour Foreshore Authority. Jo Kamira will be addressing the history of Maori in Sydney. The full day of activities includes a hangi, performing groups and the Rocks Markets.

It's not work but it'll be a great break from the daily grind!

Jo Kamira

Jo Celebrates a decade of achievement

When Jo and Harriet first met in October 2001 they had no idea that they would start what has become one of Australia's premier Investigations Firms, the firm of choice for many Commonwealth and State agencies, and private businesses when it comes to HR Investigations.

WISE Workplace Investigations celebrates it's 10th year in business in 2011. For Jo Kamira, her family comes first, the business comes second closely chased by a love of Maori history.

"As my Nanna used to say:

‘He aha te mea nui o te ao? He tangatahe tangatahe tangata' – which translated means ‘And what is the most important thing? It is people, it is people, it is people.’"

Planning Investigations - do you?

Failing to plan can result in total failure

For managers it can be a critical tool. It will outline what is to be undertaken, how it is to be done, processes, procedures and policies to be used, the order of interviews and risks. It will prevent you from "chasing rabbits down holes", but not everyone does them. In this article Jo Kamira outlines the purpose and value in Investigation Plans.

Supported Investigations

Supported Investigations an alternative for small business

WISE Workplace Investigations launches a new service area - SUPPORTED INVESTIGATIONS.

If your organisation is small, short on funds or just needs assistance,  without the expense of fully outsourcing an investigation, WISE now offers a support service.  Each client will be allocated a dedicated case officer who can provide expert phone and email support to  mangers and HR professionals who are conducting  investigations in -house.  Conduct all or part of the investigation yourself with the confidence that your processes and procedures will be robust and fair.
